hi. i’m kara.

Event planning is in my blood. My family owns a local rental company and my mother knew who Martha Stewart was before anyone.

I’ve been in the industry for nearly 25 years, working everywhere from New England, to Washington DC, California, to Puerto Rico -- gaining expert experience that led to planning sperate events with special guest President Obama and First Lady Michellle Obama, global brands such as Capital One and National Geographic, and at high profile venues such as the Smithsonian Museums and on the National Mall.

With a extensive background working in rentals, caterering, and venue coordination - I have a unique understanding of how to plan a seamless event for all vendors involved.

With that being said, it wasn’t until I actually got married did I understand what planning a wedding was really about. It finally clicked.

I know the excitement you feel when you get to marry your person. I also know about all of the stressors involved. I know how much it helps to have someone in your corner making sure it goes exactly how you dreamed. That’s why I love taking on all of the tasks. By me handling everything, you can detach from the logistics and concentrate on creating memories.

  • "She cares so deeply about her brides and it is SHOWS on your wedding day."

  • "Everything and anything you need she is there for."

  • "Kara made my wedding day magical."

  • "Kara is so much more than a wedding planner or coordinator to us, she is forever family."

  • "Everybody needs a Kara for their wedding."

  • "My husband and I felt so supported and cared for and for that, we are eternally grateful."

a little about me.

wedding day must-haves.

My clip board, my custom-made tackle box, multiple pair of Frye boots, a phone charger, my rock strar day-of team, and most importantly a smile.

best planning advice.

Do it together. Don’t count out the groom. It’s his day, too. You might be surprised that there are details he cares about and will offer a fresh view. I find, couples who plan together are a tad more excited about the big day because it’s really their own.

ideal saturday night.

A night out in Ogunquit with my husband. We love walking around town or down the Marginal Way, seeing a movie at the Levitt Theater (we got engaged there, so it’s a special spot) and always end with a night cap of ice cream before heading home.
